Hello excal.

I wanted to personally welcome you to CCF.

and hope that you continue to spend some time in sharing your metal detecting finds with many future posts.

I do not know how other members feel but I personally am satisfied if you just post some digital photos since videos
take a lot of time for you.

And sometimes if the Internet to a smart phone is of poor quality, the video will skip parts or even not start at all etc.

Also, what is the make and model of your detector?

How deep can it detect?

And does it have the capability to distinguish between a coin and a metal pull tab from a soft drink can, for example?

I am seriously thinking about buying a new detector but am clueless insofar as what make and model # to acquire.

This would be my first detector purchase.

Good luck in the future with your detector searches.

Very nice accumulation of finds. I sometimes envy those of you in the UK that can find pound coins. Here in the US, we find mostly pennies with a few dimes nickels and quarters thrown in. A good day for me might be 3-4 dollars.

Looks like the park you were at hasn't been hit much before w/ a detector. I know that the Excalibur works well for water hunting. Can you discriminate out the junk easily?

I have a White's MXT that works really well in identifying what lies below so that I don't dig a lot of junk.

Great finds, all the best of luck next time you go out.
