hey guys I have a question about junk silver. I know the us,canada, and mexico have junk silver coinage, but are other countries silver issues considered junk silver? if so does it trade like junk silver or have a premium?

If the value of the coin is more than the melt value then it isn't junk. That sums it up I think. I still have some "junk" silver that I keep because I like silver,

Junk silver is junk silver, no matter what country it comes from.

When the coin is in such poor condition or is so common as to have no numismatic value, it still has junk silver bullion value.

Junks junk however I'd think foreign silver might be tougher to move because atleast in the US it may not be widely known what content each countries coin is, whether it's real, etc. Also people searching on say ebay might not use the foreign catergory and just search US coins.

ANY worn out foreign .925 silver is worth having as junk. Examples are pre '45 Australian, and pre '20 British. I have that stuff alongside worn out Walkers and Barbers. Worn out 19th century European .900 silver is OK also. Such stuff has to be considered as completely worn out to achieve the required grade for junk.

Just beware of pristine examples. They tend to cramp your style in the quest for junk silver.

I love dark side silver, but I never seem to get a true silver value back when selling. Not like I can with US coins. Off course it depends on what you have, but in general I think foreign coins aren't as desirable as "junk silver" since there are some many different levels of purity over the realm of foreign coins ( from 90% down to 10%).

Stash . . this won't give you pics but covers your other questions. If you google a particular coin I'm sure you can come up with pics.
