Hey guys quick question...I hope this is in the right spot. I have been sent up to Fort McMurray for 2 weeks for work. Are there any coin/banknote shops in the area? I searched online but couldnt find anything. Get paid friday and wouldnt mind splurging a little. Thanks for the help =)

Never heard of a coinshop in Mac, always thought it would be a good idea with all the cash around there, and with Mac having the highest Newfie population outside of the rock, you'd think newfie silver/coins would sell like hot cakes.

For sure I thought there would be at least one with all the money there is to burn up here. Yeah thats what I was thinking too...almost every person I've talked to so far speaks like a little rambling child (no offence) Lol. But seriously so hard to understand

Edmonton will be your nearest coin shops. They collect other things in Fort McMurray, like jacked up pickup trucks...

I live in Fort McMurray and do all my shopping online. It would be a great idea for a shop but on the other hand I could only imagine how jacked the prices would be. Just like when any seller comes up here it seems for every 100km the prices raise $100.00!

Thats true...would probably be stupid high. I just hate ordering online becaue I am so impatient and I like to see and feel something in person before I buy it.

Edmonton has a large coin show, twice per year (November and April), many collectors make the trip down from northern Alberta and even Yellowknife, for these shows.
