as I have been roll searching, I have been saving the doubled columns cents that I find in a plastic coffee container. I recently decided to sort them, and save them by year, and maybe study them more closely - and possibly identify some that might be listed. as I sorted them and stacked them - I noticed that the are sort if forming their own "bar chart" by year. (i suppose that might be a bit of a stretch of the imagination). in any case it seems that 2005, 2004, and 2001 are the most commonly found of the modern DDR's. (at least in my small sampling). I just thought someone else might find my little bar chart amusing.

I agree Dan. The 2004 are by far the most common I have found.

i thought the 2005 were the most common, and that seems to be true - if the bar chart illusion "holds water", with 2004 being a very close second. the coins in this image represents probably 10 boxes of cents, (25,000) coins. not included are coins that I have been able to identify. I refer mostly to coppercoins site, for identifying some listed ones. for whatever it might be worth there were 2 - 2000D DDR - and they were matching (the same die). I thought that was a bit amazing.

I like your idea! I find them from 2003-2005 the most.

This matches my experience. I only even look for them half the time because they're so common for some years.

I have so many I don't even know which year or mint mark is more prevalent. I do know that the bar on column 6 is harder to find then bar on column 7. And the ones with the extra body parts are harder to find then the bar on column 6 is.
