Good evening everyone and thank you for taking the time to check this out. I am new to coin collecting so I'm sorry if I'm messing with something up. I recently bought some Wheat penny rolls and found this coin in one of the rolls. It's a 1945-S Wheat with a lot of the "newness" to it. I was wondering if it is worth it to maybe have the coin sent off for grading and how much it maybe valued at. Here are some pictures of the coin. Feedback is much appreciated! And thanks again!

The coin does not look right to me. Surfaces look unnatural. It would only garner a details grade IMO.

Frabuc, don't worry about messing with anything up. You're just asking a question. That's how we all learn. However, this cent is definitely cleaned and in my opinion not worth sending to a grader.

My grandfather gave me a framed set of medals and coins from WWII. They all looked like this. In my estimation, it looks like someone took a buffing wheel to them, and yours. They're nice to admire in set like that, but I wouldn't put it in your album.

Keep at the roll searching and good luck! And to the Community.

It has been cleaned. It is not very valuable and would not be worth getting it graded.

Welcome to CC!

Like the others said, the coin has been harshly cleaned. The good news, they are cheap to buy in MS red grades if you need one.
