In hand - coins have been heavily polished. Believe these were xf raw, but were polished.

Have researched authenticity, but I am still on the fence.

Your thoughts on Authenticity? Grade? Value?

Alex,
Unfortunately, no, coin is in a secondary TPG holder.

It's too bad that they are polished. They once looked like nice coins. The mintmarks appear to be correct and I don't see any other red flags. The 1932-D does appear to somewhere around EF details. I think the 1932-S could grade a little bit higher, possibly AU details.

I was hoping the glare from the owner's original photos, was, just that - glare.

Truly wished these would have been over dipped, but, not the case.

I see nothing that screams added mintmark, but, these are heavily polished.

What is the TPG? They appear original to me, it is a shame they are polished.

HelzelsCoins - these are encased in very, very, secondary slabs. The kind you can buy, print your own lables, etc. One of them grading company names is a take off of NGC. The other is a famous city in California, where several shows on TV are filmed - Burbank.
