What is Sapper training? I know what a sapper is but didn't realize that the training has carried over from Vietnam to current.

Sapper school is pretty intense. Kind of a slightly toned down Ranger school with more emphasis on demo and engineering but still very hard. Discovery channel had a show on it called surviving the cut sapper school. Its highly respected and one of their elite school. The worst part is you dont even find out till the last day if you passed or not.
