That is a cool coin. Did you go to ranger, sapper and airborne school or is that just part of the design?

Daniels lol was gonna say thats quite a bit of time in the schools. Not to mention just a pain putting together the formal uniforms lol.
But whats so dangerous about just being a floating target with a parachute you cant maneuver at all? lol
As always best wishes to you and your brothers in arms. If you deploy again and bring back any cool coins please feel free to share some pics

I will when I leave here I gotta drive through Canada I wanna stop and get some silver coins they have some nice ones lol. A floating target with no control of the parachute but down and who ever else you hit on the way down not for me. Ill do a regular parachute jump with control handles and they jump higher then a few thousand feet. I watched my friend jump and he landed on another soldiers parachute and had to use his reserve I'll pass

I dont blame you one bit on the mass jumping. Youd think they would have improved that a bit since WW2. I dunno what would be worse that or a HALO/HAHO, but I'm leaning towards that since at least with the other two you arent usually target practice. Canada does have some nice coins with the Maples and their weird glow in the dark ones lol. Maybe with a little luck youll find a hoard of some old middle eastern coins in the sandbox which is where I'm assuming your deployment will be

Another time they jumped in a wind storm and another friend shattered his knee. Yeah the sand box I go but its only 9 months but what I don't like is the army stopped RR for soldiers so now we just take a week or so off down range its whatever the war will be over soon I hope

daniels, that's pretty darn kick-ass. Thank you so much for what you do and have done. You too, Coinstar. The U.S. Mint is pissing me off these days but I love that I freely get to complain about it because of folks like you.

Dam sorry to hear about the friend. I had a knee surgery go bad that gave me a massive blood clot in the leg myself I'm trying to get through so knee injuries are always a soft spot for me. Same about the R&R hopefully youll be somewhere a little safer than the Korengal Valley. If you ever feel like killing some time picking up locals coins while youre there I'm sure thered be a good market on here when you get back

Quote: I watched my friend jump and he landed on another soldiers parachute and had to use his reserve. Why didn't he just run off the chute? That is what we were trained to do when we came down on top of somebody else's chute. If he didn't clear that chute quick he would have stole the air from his partners and his partners chute could have collapsed as well. Very dangerous being Airborne qualified. What is Sapper training? I know what a sapper is but didn't realize that the training has carried over from Vietnam to current. I believe it is "Sergeant Major". Also with the leaf on the left of the coin would that make it a "Bottle Cap Colonels'" as well? Seen alot of Challenge Coins before, just nothing like this.
