I went to the bank today to put some coins in my safety deposit box. I pulled everything out to look at them. I found some minor toning on my ASE's that are stored in a Dansco album. I also found a small amount on some slabbed MS64 Morgans.
Anyone else seeing toning on coins stored this way? Is some toning going to be unavoidable no matter how well they are stored? Should I use the Zip lock bag storage method? Thanks for any input.

You can't go wrong with coins stored in a ziploc. Inside the ziploc with the coins would be some silica gel canisters and even some pre 1982 copper cents loose in the bag.

So, even if they are slabbed, they will still tone ? Maybe slower?

Slabs too are not foolproof when it comes to being air tight. Almost nothing really is but you can slow that process down a lot with the usage of Zip Lock bags.

Thanks for the input. I will get more Zip lock bags and use them for the coins in my safety deposit box. I think that mostly I am disappointed that they are not in as good of condition as when I purchased them. They are not bad, but I can see some changes and some toning. Since I am a collector, some of these coins have been in my possession for twenty plus years. I know that I have toned and tarnished a little over those twenty plus years.
