Hi , just wanted to run this 1871 half I just got today. It has what may be a MPD on the mound above the date.Nothing in Cherrypickers about it. It just doesn't look like it supposed to be there and I can't find the same piece of raised area on any others. This coin also has a die crack on the R on the reverse that is pretty cool. It gives it a "capped" R to borrow a VAMMER term.

That's WB-102, a known variety. Considered a MPD.

Nice find, that looks to be the bottom cross bar of the one right at the base of liberty.
