19 years after my father's death...I was finally given his coin collection this morning. Let me tell you there is not much left. I know what my dad had. All the silver is gone except 1 dime a 1914 Barber dime and a 1 1909 Liberty Head V nickel. The rest are wheat pennies. I will post pictures of these a little later and see if they are of value or not. Thanks for looking.

I did find this...

I know what you mean. When my grandfather passed I was supposed to inherit a small part of his collection. His Administrator, my Uncle, flat told me he was taking all the coins and to heck with his fathers oral instructions! So I real quietly went to the bank and emptied out the two safety deposit boxes that were in BOTH our names. It amounted to a small, maybe 2 percent of his collection. My Uncle never said a word. He knew he had not obeyed his father, and he knew what I did.

Years later he told me he just considered us even, and we have gotten along great since then.

Good Luck!
