I was given a 1921 Morgan P mint Dollar by my father inlaw that has gold plating on the bust and reverse eagle. Is the a variety? I am unable to post pics from location. It's in uncirculated to mint state condition. Does the gold lessen value?

Pics would help, but just as a guess it may have been plated. Here is the forum for Morgan/Peace dollars.

It was likely plated outside of the mint... If it was done well, it may raise the value. Some people like things like that.

Thank you, he's got a bunch of Morgan's but does not collect them persay and wasn't sure if the inlay was suppose to be there. I guess I will just hold onto it and hand it down.
