Hey thanks swamperbob, I was afraid to give a wrong info to buyers.
Sure, I don't know what to ask. Please give me an offer. I almost made a pendant out of that old coin.
Coinaholic, I answered you an hour ago. Please check your email.

Samuel,
The "Christopher Colon" coin is from El Salvador. It's actually a fairly sought after piece, as El Salvador is the smallest country in Central America, and it's population is low, and for the time period, larger denomination coins such as a one peso are rather difficult to find. It's a really good piece. Personally, I'd keep that one.

Just came back from Ponterio. They took the Hookneck, 1749, 1776 and send them to PCGS. Will be auctioned on November 1, 2012 at Stack's Bowers and Ponterio's Auction. I don't know why they past them at first time around, may be too many. They appraised #1 for $300 to $400.-, #2 around $400.- and #3 around $600.-. The last one is on the birth year of United States, therefore will bring higher premium and more buyers. I brought all coins in questioned, they saw those coins in the past and approve them again by both appraisers. Except the Gold coin is a FAKE. It is like Sovereign, many people fake them because it makes easier to buy and sell as "standard" of the coin market. I have the prices of the rest of coins, I will list them soon. Sorry Swamperbob, I have to sell to much higher price. They auctioned the good coin for $2,500.- to $7,500.- in the past. Just want to confirmed you that the Carolus IIII and Ferdinand are good coins, just under Ponterio minimum's price. I will list them soon.

Here they are, I just want to share what I learned from these old Mexicana coins auction. Sure the Hookneck is very interesting. At the beginning, I thought I could salvaged it and make "key chain" out of tampered old coins. But somebody out there still interested to it. 1776 US birth year is also a surprise for me, now I will pay more attention on that year. If any... The auction is well worth it if I could buy more of these Mexicana coins :). I hope I came across again in the future, but I doubt it. Another one, (too bad I didn't have the picture) is East Indies Madura Island counter stamp. It brought high premium. *** Edited by Staff to remove private information. ***
