Today was a great day. Got home from the office at around three so it was a little late to go very far afield. There is a tiny park about a mile from my house that was only built in 96 so we decided to walk over and see what we could find. This was the first park I played with my detector in last year when it was brand new and I new nothing about it.
We decided then that the park was not worth bothering with.
Today proved us both wrong.
one of my best jewelry hauls to date.

Nice finds Richard.

What brand detector are you using? I have a cheaper Radio Shack model, but it seems to serve its purpose. I was thinking of upgrading this year.
I take my dad out a few times a year to the AZ desert and we search for gold. I would love to see my dad find a nugget. I think my detector is not going deep enough?

Yep I am using a Ace 250 it is considered by some to be a base model entry level machine but it does everything I need for now. Until I have found enough money for an upgrade it will do fine.

I have heard those Ace 250's are pretty good. It looks like you are doing good so far. I will be glad when it warms up here so I can get out.

I got an ace 150 around the first of the year and the ground here in OHio has been pretty much frozen. I did take it out one day and dug up a penny in the yard. Told my wife I only needed 14999 more and it was paid for. Looking forward to spring.
