Advice from all who are in the know is needed.
I search through coins (mostly Lincolns, a few nickels, dime and quarters) - I enjoy searching for errors. Problem is that I do not know the proper type # (Wexler, Coneca, etc.) in order to give a selling description. Some of the errors I find, may or may not be indexed, but are errors none the less.
I have over 200 , if not more, of these error coins that I just set aside - what would be the best method of selling these?
There are just about every imaginable error, in all different dates, I just do not have the knowledge yet of "classifying" them.

Any and all ideas are more than appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Do you have "The Cherry Pickers Guide(s)"? Using the term "Coneca" I'm assuming that you do.

My suggestion would be to take the time to index and describe EACH coin as best you can and go from there. This is time consuming but, can be worth the effort and is part of the collectors hobby routine.

pennybright,

Sounds as if you are describing "Varieties" and not "Errors".

There is a big difference.

CherryPickers Guide is a good place to start. Before you begin to sell have a basic understanding of what you have.

I know what you are saying, and I am heading in that direction - but right at this moment I have an old kitty requiring vet expenses and I was hoping these would help pay for such. Actually, to 'not' dhpw my my stress around my old friend, I go through rolls of pennies, finding errors as an "alleviator" (alternate route of "not showing him" my stress - cats are sensitive creatures. ya know.....okay, now the truth is out...
