Now that I only have one coin to go before completing my Peace silver dollar set, I wanted to show off. Since I don't have any friends-in-person interested in coin collecting, I decided to burden you all with it (kind of like baby pictures) . Here's the link: http://www.collectors-society.com/r...eSetID=30452Or you could check out the NGC registry for Peace dollars 1921-35. My set is ranked 35. I am bidding on an example of the '35-S in a Heritage Internet auction that ends around the middle of the month, and I aim to win it, and complete the set. At least one of the coins will eventually be replaced ('23-D). Thanks for looking.

Stephen, that is one fine set! Good luck on the 35-D! I am green with envy. I aspired for many years to have a registry set of Carson City Morgan silver dollars. I had the complete series (13 coins) with the last two submitted for grading. When one came back "cleaned" and the other downgraded by three points, I started to scramble for replacements, but then my Jeep's drive train needed to be replaced, so my registry set remains incomplete. That's a mighty impressive collection, Stephen. Will you be posting the remaining images soon?

Hi. I'm so glad I posted this. Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Putting this together has been a labor of love. As to images, I don't have a camera capable of making them myself, and since I spent all my money on the coins, I can't afford one. So, I will be sending the unimaged PCGS coins to be photographed. Their guy, Phil Arnold, is a master. NGC's imaging service basically sucks, so I'll have to find some other solution. When I'm just randomly surfing the registry, I pretty much always look only at sets that have images. So I'll figure something out. ("pretty much always only"? this from a former English teacher? - oh well).

Heh. Mechanics drive rattletraps, too. I had thought PCGS got out of the Trueview business. They're still imaging?

PCGS doesn't have an ad anymore on their website for the imaging service, but I received about 20 emails from Phil Arnold, which were images of all the coins I've sent them. I emailed Phil Arnold to ask whether the service was still being offered He emailed me back and said the service is still available, and the way to get it is simply write it in on the submission form.. I hope so because it's such a bargain - $10 for imaging and reholder. Still, the whole thing seems rather strange.

I can't imagine $10 allowing them much profit margin on the process. However, they still have customers who want, and deserve, such images. Heck, if I'd just paid them upwards of $100 to take a ten-second look at my six-figure coin, I'd want a picture too.

Stephen: Very nice coins -- some of the finest I've seen in a long time. A little off topic, but we haven't seen you in KOTCT for a long while. Are you still one of us?
