Hello guys! today I went to the bullion store to check out the JM10oz bar I called about earlier. I got there and I saw that beauty, the JM 10oz bar was the nicest "hand poured" bar I've ever seen! It wasn't the pressed bar, it was poured!

I was going to get that and he said let me show you something, I said sure and he went to the back room to get it. He brings out a 50oz JM bar that looked amazing (way out of my budget) and he also brought out a smaller bar. He brought out a 20oz engelhard OX logo old poured bar. I knew this was the bar that I've always wanted, so I grabbed it but only had $320 on me. He said I could pay for half right now and take the bar home, but next time I could bring cash or give him a 10oz bar. I agreed and went home and came back 20 mins later with a silvertowne 10oz bar.

Pretty good day, grabbed one of the best looking bars I've seen, and for a decent price of $31oz

Here is a good reference

keep in mind these bars will sell better to Americans, and the ox logo just means that this was a Canadian issue engelhard bar

Depends on the JM bar, I have 6 varieties of 20oz JM bars. Some are easier to come by than others.

swrbxxx: It's amazing that you have 6 varieties! Which ones are more difficult to come by? With serials or without?

Anything old stamped Johnson Matthey and Mallory, also the UK 20 oz bar seemed nearly impossible for me to find, The serial # bars are pretty common as are the ones without except for the Small logo JM its another rare piece. They also made a TD 20oz bar and a few others.
