I must be missing something. Those are dirty, marked up, used and yet people are bidding ont them? Even the shipping charges are high.

These old albums and folders are numismatic history and there are many people who collect them as they are rapidly disappearing. Most dealers when they buy old collections throw them away so they are getting harder to find. I like the old Dansco folders which are titled as albums and have a few put away.

Those were the best albums on the market in the early 1960's. Had my whole collection in those. Then the Bookshelf series came out and it was time to switch to those. I'm tempted to look for some of these just for old time sake and looks like others might be doing that on that auction.

Some see it as grungy and used, but I see it as character. Some serious collector took the time to notate each coin. Must have been quite a collection. Would love to have seen it filled.
