Here's another 81-S what do you guys think? Reverse picture is more indicative of the luster on the entire coin.

I think it would be at least a MS-64 and might go MS-65 if the coin is really as clean as I think it may be. Very nice coin!

MS-65 easy. A beauty, surprised not a speck of toning for a 130-year old silver coin!

Great looking coin but not worth sending in IMHO. Def not an MS66 maybe a MS65 but her face seems to have some contact marks on it and lacks a bit of luster that an MS66 would need.

In my non expert opinion I would grade it an MS64

Thanks guys. Had this one marked as a 64 getting more confident in objective grading. It's been hard for me not to be biased in grading my own coins. I think this one could hit that 65 point.....however the 81-S really does have to be superb to get the gem grading.....However I did see an MS 65 NGC 81-S the other day and to be honest I thought it left something to be desired, just didn't strike me as a 65....anyway now I've gone in to rambling.

I'd gp MS-63+ on this one 1881-S is an easy coin to find in high grade and while this coin would probably go MS-64 in another date not so common for strong strike and high grade examples I think a TPG would not go more than MS63. IMO.

MS64 on this lovely example of this superbly-struck series I think would be a deal on this girl.
