What Is Wrong With 1972-S Lincoln Cent?

garylcsr Pillar of the Community United States 1952 Posts	Posted 03/06/2007 7:00 pm Most if not all of the early cents had Machine Doubling on them. there is no premium for these coins. it is damage and not an error. I don't see anything on your coin but that don't mean anything but I don't see it. but as far as I know the 1972 P was the one to look for and that doubling would be in god we trust and not the rev. I just got a better look at your coin and I would still consider it a cent lol. it looks like a light strike but there is no premium on that either.nice coin though for being 25 yrs old.
