Matchoo- I bet if you did a little research you would find your answer. Google Late stage die cap... I have seen some with alot more prolific doubling than yours.

Yours is nice btw

Thanks for the info guys.

I have an offer of $50 from a local dealer is that reasonable?

If not then what would you suggest my ebay title be for this Item? I was thinking 1900's Die Capped Dime. But should I add anything about the fact that a tails side of a coin clashed with it as well?

Matt

I think $50 from a dealer is a fair offer. Seems it would be about a $75 retail coin...IMO

I decided to put it up on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/11093144109....m1555.l2649

I am hoping someone would like this one because it is a little bit different from others I have seen because of the smudged head or whatever it is and tails clash.

Again thank you all for your help.

I do believe I have one of the dimes that did this. My dime looks like a double struck coin. I say that because it's thick. Like almost double the thickness of a dime. Here are a few pictures of it. feel free to tell me what you think.I think I have one of the dimes the same batch as Matchoo5050. Hey mate want a full set? lol
the first picture will be so you can see the dimes thickness. it is like that around the hole dime.

And sorry I am not the best at taken pictures. Could not find the right lighting, so you can see that we do have a pair here.
