Hi,
I have a Denver mint GW4 roll sealed in box and I wanted to know how to find out the first day they were minted? I want to know if mine is an early mint or not (1/30/07). I have searched all over the internet and can't find the info. I figure you all might now! Thanks Ruth

I don't think there is a way you can tell. I think if you have the roll now, it would be considered a early release.
Rest in Peace

I agree with Tpatna. I don't think there's any way to tell.

The mint doesn't keep track of the first released coins.

If the Mint doesn't keep track of the "release date" what are these people selling on e-bay? Looks to me like they maybe had a rubber stamp made to put on their bank wrapped rolls!

Item number: 140090746800 this is the number of the auction

I guess I don't know how to insert a link from the e-bay auction

Here'as the link. $42.50 per roll huh? What I do not like about this auction is that they have a big picture of two rolls in the listing, and the very last thing you read is that the auction was for one roll. It does tell you what you're going to get, but I don't like the "scam" type picture of two rolls...

I can pretty much quarantee it's not. They probably started striking them back in December of 06, possibly even in November.
