Hello Everyone,

I have a 1922 Peace dollar with a lot of toning, and I can't tell if its natural or possibly a reaction from improper cleaning prior to my ownership. Any opinions would be appreciated, and any insights as to the grade/overall condition would also be helpful. My apologies in advance for the poor picture quality, first time using the optimizer.

Thank You,

GVH221

to CCF!

Your coin has AU details from what I can tell. It looks like toning that I would call environmental damage. Not a big deal on this coin because the value is largely dependent on the 0.773 troy ounces of silver it contains.

Looks Au-55 to 58 to me. And my guess as to the discolered surface would be improper storage.
