So my wife didn't like, though tolerated me searching dimes. I started an album of dimes from 1858 to date and is about 80% full. She was looking at it and said...wouldn't it be cool to have every coin from 1 cent to toonie! I would like the pennies since they are going to stop making them. So I picked up a small cent album from 1920 to date and a box of pennies and we started going through them. About half way tonight and we have from 2011 to 1959 done and a few 1940s with half a box to go. Nice to have her on board. Found a few 1950s American pennies. Is that what you guys call wheat cents? Anyways, it would be nice but not sure if I want to spend the money doing all the albums. I cant have holes missing, kinda ocd like that so those older or rare or just scarce dates are just gonna cost money.

Yes, most 50's cents are wheats. Wheat cents were from 1909-1958.

Yup, 58 was the last year for wheats. Yes, it definitely gets pricy.. Some of those wheats are pretty expensive. Among others I also have penny albums from 1909-now, from 50's to now full, the rest 70%. Good luck man! It's great she helps you out, I just got my fiancé to start collecting the State Quarters not too long back, even though I already have them she wanted to find them all in circulation. Lol and she buys or brings home coins for me daily, I lucked out too
