I'm curious why the LMCs from 2007 on have a Coins Magazine & Numi News price of $1.50 in MS 65 when for the previous 2 decades they're valued at 25c. In Coin World they're all much higher than that.

The main reason is so many deteriorate in the enviorment from circulation, that there aren't as many MS-65s as one might think.

A good possiblility. And they get damaged so easily too.

I understand all that, but why would a 1987 up to a 2006 be listed for 25c & a 2007, 2008 & all the 2009 varieties be listed for $1.50? Also why the big price difference between Coins Magazine, Numi News & Coin World? I don't have a CDN so I don't know what they go for in there.

Possible reasons:

1) They get their data from different sources
2) They are human
3) It's a conspiracy

Most likely #1

It might be because it was easier to go to the bank and buy a roll of newly minted coins back than. I don't think that is possible now

It seems like recent years are just less common in the higher grades. I think it has to do with the new rinse they're using, which seems to result in lots of spotting before they even get into our hands.

Also, regular finish coins were not available for the 2005-2010 issues from mint sets, which often have the highest graded examples. 2005-2010 are satin finish, which are priced as a separate issue.

This is back to how are coins priced and by who. If you read many of the post about coin prices, you hear about Price Guides. And again, remember they are all Guides. A coin can sell or be purchased for many times a Guides price or many times less. Some Guides are similar in values and some are completely messed up.
