My dad and I picked up this beautiful lady for our type set.

What do you think!

Nice original EF-45 coin. Great for a type set and a CC is always a hit.

Nice coin Hondo! I agree with the XF 45 grade. Additionally your buffalo is awesome too.

The luster might hold it back but...that dime looks AU50 to me. Very nice!

Thanks everyone. Dad and I have been having alot of fun with this set. Its a slow burn, but fun.
We have been trying to find Standing Liberty quarters, but not knowing much about them, its tough... the nice ones are a little too nice and the ones in our price range just arent "type set worthy".

If nothing else, a type set is a really great lerning experience.

Coindog, that buffalo is one of the first coins I ever bought. I think I got it for like 4 bucks. Its got some beautiful tone... its one of my favorites.

Thanks everyone for the nice words and feedback!

Hondo, as far as SLQ's go, look for a full shield as well as a Full Head designation.

Forget full head as its a waste of money. Also some full head designations arent full head, pcgs and ngc can be inconsistent. Buy what appeals to your own eye kind of like this cc dime

Oih82w8, thanks very much for that info. It's a great read, I will print it out and put it in my binder with other similar articles.
Mkman123, I like the way you think. I love certain looks for my coins, and I definetely wait for something to catch my eye.

I think that as we look, something will catch our eye, and then we can also be aware of what we are looking for as far as full head/shield.

Thanks again.
