I saw the coinsandcanada page before, but not the pictures of blunt or pointed 5s, as it didn't occur to me to scroll down.

Even now, I'm not absolutely sure but I think it's a blunt 5.

I find the pointed 1985 harder to find than the pointed 1965.
I have multiple pointed 1965's
I have only one pointed 1985
(All found in circulation)

Do any of you guys find the same thing?

Of course, the pointed variety is harder to find. What I don't get is how undervalued the MS versions seem to me. It's probably worth it to just buy one in MS if you're that type of collector who must have everything.

Gatewest had a whole mint box of 1985 pointed 5 1-cent coins. They certified a ton of them, and sold quite a few wholesale to coin dealers. It is easier to find one of these in uncirculated condition than it is to find a circulated version...
