1972-D Or 1972 Type 1 Ike Silver Dollar

Im new to collecting, but I have a 1972 ike silver dollar, the islands next to florida are to the right like in the type 1 but it has a "D" Mint Marking on the side with Ike's head, and from the pictures of I've seen of the type 1 they dont have that D mint marking. What you guys think?

you have what you think you have. 1972-D ikes used the type 1 reverse.

Reverse is the moon and eagle side of the coin. Also, your Ike is cupronickel clad, not silver. Business strike(non-proof) 40% silver clad Ikes were minted but they only had S-mintmarks.

yea I figured it was business grade. and I have read about the S proof. looks interesting ill look into purchasing one if I can find one on a budget
