IS my bank always the last in the USA to get the new quarters when they come out. I am only 2 hours from the Phil Mint and it seems that this area is always the last to get the new coins when they come out.

We always get them but seems to take so long compared to the other states.

Is there anyone else out there that their bank did not get them yet?

I got a roll of Montana quarters the same day the Presidential dollars were released, and at the same bank. In fact, the teller called them to my attention and asked if I wanted a roll!

I think the last ones to show up here have been Nevada. (I'm still waiting for post 2002 nickels here. So far I've seen two 2003 p's, a 2004 P Keelboat, and two 2005 P Ocean in view. That is five coins in five years.)

Remember, if your bank has all the quarters they need for their customers, they won't be ordering new quarters. Some banks tend to have more coins come in than go out. If that happens they NEVER order new coins.

The issue is that your bank isn't ordering them. Some banks like the one I work for, have one branch order the coins and then the other branches buy small amounts from the other branch. When we have to order quarters we have to order 1000$ at a time. That is too much for us to order and just store in the vault. So what ends up taking so long is that the main branch gets the order of $1000 then the branch you go to has to send someone over to the other branch and buy them. We never order coins we end up selling coins back to the Fed. like once every two months. At our branch I always make sure we have all of the new stuff (hehe cause I want to be able to buy it in the rolls from the mint).

Next time your at your bank and wanting the rolls of coins ask them if any of the other branches have them. Some times they will tell you if they do or dont, if they wont tell you or you think they just dont want to call another branch to find out if someone else has them then just call the other branches in your area and see if any of them have any.
