After the current run of the ATB Quarters, which I do love, they mix it up a little. Go ahead and end the series before it gets lame. I don't know if the reverse is changing for sure, but keep the designs the same from year to year. Instead, the mint will issue each year for circulation, then pr and silver pr, but instead of any sort of reverse design, sell them in silver unc...... Keep the mintages reasonable. Everyone who wants one can get them, but they are also desirable numismatic items. I'm just sitting here looking at some junk silver and thought it would be cool. Thanks for listening, ha

I hope they finish the series out. I like the idea of offering uncir silver ones too but only if they made an exception to include the ones already been put out. I dont like new versions of coins being offered half way through the series

From that perspective, I agree. I'm also kind of thinking that I agree more with this post being titled"How to replace what we do now, as opposed to coming up with one more thing we all have to buy".

I really like the idea of having both for the silver especially seeing how well the 5 oz versions have turned out. I would definitely do an ablum with the uncircs, I find the proofs to much hassel to have an an album and keep spotless getting them in

I actually like the ATB series better than the state series. They just look better to me. With that said, I agree. Stop messing with reverses. I actually liked the Eagle reverse. It's ok if they wanna change it, but change it and leave it please. I', not a big fan of the Jefferson obverse change, but at least they don't change it every year. I'm a fan of the new shield cent, and hopefully they leave that for 50 years or until they discontinue the cent.

GRR, I'm with you on all of your points. Theyve talked about the new reverse being something similar to the New Jersey State Quarter, but personally, I would prefer a modified eagle of some sort... or even just a spruced up version of the same eagle.

I am certain they will go for round two (round three if you count Statehood/DC/Territorial run). The congressional authorization is already there to keep this going until 2033 and I do not see a reason for the Treasury to end such a profitable program. What would be nice, in my opinion, is if they could condense a couple of years during the second run (six coins for a few of years, like they did in 2009) so that it would end in 2031. This would set up the perfect opportunity for a 2032 Washington Tricentennial design or series.

jbuck, I love that idea. Fine, they can continue the series, but then end it for 2032, the perfect setup for another "commemorative" that will be in place for the next century. How cool would it be if they went back to the Laura Gardin Fraser design to begin in 2032...
