Hey Batman => did you just buy that coin fairly recently? (the hare-coin with the split in it) ... yah, because I swear I looked at that coin but passed on it because it was very pricey (not over-priced, but merely super expensive) => it is a gorgeous coin!!

Hmmm? ... well maybe I saw it when you had it up for sale? (was that fairly recently? => within' the last couple/few months?) ... anyway ... it's gorgeous!! Oh and "thanks" for the coin-compliment => yah, I really do think that my coin rocks!! (it is exactly what I think of when I think of an old silver Greek coin, know what I mean? ... it's a big, tough, heavy lookin' coin with a stalky horse and rider ... oh and a "club" thrown-in underneath the horse for extra style-points)

Quote: There's no way to compete with you guys...I'm just going to watch and learn Correct me if I'm wrong, but the idea behind the Smackdowns, the brainchild of steve6x (Jerry), is to have a place to show off our coins. Win or lose. Of course we all want to win, but how many people do you know in your daily lives that care about your obsession with these 2000 year old pieces of metal? In my case, umm, let me get out the ole calculator, ....none. Oh, of course people always feign interest, and perhaps some of them do have a mild interest. But here, on this forum, we have a chance to show off our "precious" to people who care. It doesn't matter if you feel your coins can't compete for the Gold or the Silver. I, for one, just want to see your coins. So c'mon. Show us those horses.
