I called around to the local exchange places here is town, just to see if any would exchange them for Canadian funds....No luck.

Anyone know of anywhere that does this?>

to my knowledge money exchange places will only do paper money. So you are stuck with your coins. You can always try to trade with a fellow collector or at your local coin shops.

yes, go ahead and sell them on ebay, there are many people who are willing to get their hands on currency at low prices. If you have coins that are worth $1USD or more, sell them in a lot perhaps combined currencies or just a single currency.
