Hi

I know this note is fake (serial #18278) but I've seen other fake notes like this one without the colors on the back.

Is it possible they used that serial for reproduction at 2 different times?

And is there any value for that kind of note?

Thanks!!

I'm sure they have reprinted these many times. I got my first one in the early 1960's when the 100th anniversary of the Civil War was popular. I remembered buying a pack of mixed notes cellophane wrapped at a local 5c & 10c store. Each note had "facsimile" printed in the lower corner.
Looks like someone did everything they could to age the one you have to make it look real. One thing they failed at was that the original 1864 Confederate $500 was a one sided note, the back was blank.
