Found this at a yard sale petty sure its fake it doesn't feel right to me in my hand but on the off chance that I am wrong some info from you all will be very helpful and appreciated.
Yep - fake. Says Copy, second one to turn up in as little time. Looks different in wear, but the obverse punch is what gave it away if there wasnt a 'copy'.
I paid about 1 cent for it so I'm not all torn up I like the way it looks and It will be my pocket piece. Is it a copy of an actual coin? If so then what. Thank you all for your replies!
It is a copy of a Greek tetradrachm from Gela given away glued to an ad card for a Reader's Digest book several decades ago. They were mailed to millions of homes. Real ones are beautiful, rare and expensive: http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=3878
