So today at work (I cashier at Walmart currently, but not for much longer)
this newbie kept asking me questions. That's cool, I like helping people. At one point she asked me "do we take $2 bills?" I said "yeah we do" (thinking "legal tender for all debts public and private..."), and as I turned around I saw the red seal and I knew I was going to have it. I told her to put in in her "odd slot" at the bottom (the "at the bottom bit was to hide it for me, lol)
She got confused, so to simplify it, I gave her 8 quarters for it.

Thing is, it is VERY circulated, and has "28" written on it in pen.

Is there ANY way to gently remove pen? The only things I can think of are harsh organics that would probably be bad. I saw a thing online but it looked harsh too. Am I just stuck with it?

I hate it when people write on money...

In other good news, I got a good serial at work a few days ago. 11919191
Could b better, but I like it! decent binary

I would add 8 more quarters to that banknote and buy a nice au or better.

Pen marks are the work of the devil. Only a demon possessed person would write in pen on a note!

And like souls, once marked always marked.

I agree, but from what I've seen there are other Demon
Possessed guys out there that can make them disappear.
But on a low end note I guess it's not worth the effort.

I really only have two collections, one being my "face value currently collection", which, as it sounds, is all currency I got at face value. It contains mercs, war nicks, a silver quarter, kennedy 40% silvers, proof ikes, buffalos, wheaties, some foreign stuff, and some bills with varying premiums. I think I want to keep my collection that way, at least for now. I'm sort of proud of how much I have gotten for face value by either searching my own change, or just asking bank tellers what they have. Cashiering has helped too.
So I don't see myself buying anything for more than face anytime soon. Besides, I'm a poor college student, so my style suits my wallet XD

My other collection is a blooming metal detecting collection, in case you wondered :D

I kinda just wanted to know if there was a way to remove it to make it look nice. I'm sure that some in my organic chem lab could do it, but I'm not in that class anymore (glad to be done!)
