I don't know what this coin is, or how to find it online. It is a 1853 Half Dime? I believe and all the research I've done so far hasn't shown me the right picture on the back, the front is the sitting liberty and on the back is fancy letters wrapped in each other. SFF or FFS the S is over lapping the FF. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Randi

Randi,
While the picture of the reverse is very small I suspect that you have what
is called a "love token."
Gents with more time to spend than money would carve/engrave elaborate designs
on a coin, often with the initials of the lady of their interest.
Half Dime or a dime? Simply take a current dime and compare: a dime would be the same size and a Half Dime smaller.
Dimes were commonly used. If it is a Half Dime yours is the first that I have seen.
Others will give you more information.
WELCOME!

Oh, each is unique so you will not find a match.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I had a feeling it was something like that, very romantic. I love the stories, plus the holes make it look like it was made into a ring or necklace.
