Ok so I'm just gonna ask.
I have noticed that some of the "doubling" on Canadian coins would be considered Machine Doubling by U.S. collectors, and would hold no premium. Is there a different standard for Canadian coins?

Depends what elements are doubled, how much offset there is in the doubling and if the coins are in mint state condition. Doubled numbers in the date seem to be the most desirable, doubled obverse legend or beads seem to be the least desirable...

But it is not a doubled die...it is simply bounce or Strike Doubling? It would be considered a normal occurence on a U.S. coin.

Machine Doubling Damage, imparted on the coin during the strike. You also can get ejection doubling on these coins as well.

Right. So is there a premium on these? There would not be for U.S. coins....Some here may keep these coins as an example of what not to look for when searching for doubled dies.

My apologies to the OP did not want to hijack your thread but I've been wondering this for some time.
