The mint has finally posted a coming soon page for thin product and while it contains the expected coins (4 pres dollars from P-mint, 1 NA dollar from D-mint, and one unc ASE from W-mint), the packaging has changed form compared to the 2007 & 2008 sets. I had hoped that this would just be a continuation but the five point star is gone and the packaging is no longer square. I will pick up at least one of these (price not yet revealed online). Is anyone else going to bite? I have one of the 2007 sets and five of the 2008 version. https://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/w...08&langId=-1

I think those sets are cool but I do like the previous packaging much better....Oh well...progress I guess. I can remember buying those sets when silver was starting its move and you could get the set for a tad over spot plus the dollars...I doubt if this one will be that close..I bought a crap load of the 08 sets hoping there would be some 80/07's in there but none were reported....Mine are still sealed so maybe I have the only set with a 07 reverse

Let's see this is a annual set that was made annually for two years and hasn't been produced since 2008 right.

I haven't seen this proposed set since I've been buying the past 3 yrs from the mint. EDIT: Isn't this just a repackaging of an existing set of Philadelphia coins plus an ASE to sweeten the deal. Won't they add coins from the Denver mint later.

The Denver contribution to the set is the Sac dollar, Phily the Pres dollars, and West Point the burnished W ASE. It is a nice set....

But, yes, this is only the third year in six that the "annual" coin set has been produced. Maybe it should be the occasional set instead of the annual one.

It would be hard to continue an "annual" set if there were no W's minted for two of the years since it was started...
SO they skipped 2011...

If you are asking what the price of the set is the Mint hasn't set the price yet....spot silver could skyrocket another .50 in the next week and they might have to add $5 to the price

If you buy uncirculated mint sets and the burnished silver dollars, This looks like a set to pass on

I think that I'll pass on this set also. I don't see where there is anything included that I don't have from other mint products. I figure that I just saved myself at least $70 that I can put to use elsewhere to help my collection. That is unless the mint decides to give a discount on the ASE, then I probably will jump. I don't think that that will happen.

It's hard to comment until the price is announced...

Nice little Dollar set. As long as it is not overpriced, this might be one I buy this year.

At least it's an uncirculated set, so they couldn't put the S-proof or reverse proof in it. With the way the mint's been doing business lately, I wouldn't put it past them.
