Thank you for that information, SDCrow! I have now updated my spreadsheet based on your suggestion.

I do not keep detailed list of all bullion purchases. I do however keep every single receipt given to me for my bullion transactions. Overall, I feel that when I sell (only when I need to) it will be a lot higher than what I bought it for.

If you want to try an iPad / Iphone app, I downloaded a free bullion tracker (just do a search on the App Store). This application allows you to add in your prices for bullion. I can put in Gold, Silver, Palladium, Platinum separately. It then sums up all your total ounces and how much you paid for it. It automatically compares it against current spot price to give you an overall financial picture. Basically, if you're in the red or black.

The software they have out there isn't perfect, but it's interesting and gives you an overall picture. I do think spread sheets/excel/sums/formulas are the way to go based on what's out there in terms of software.

Congrats on your investments OP. Keep stacking.

Thanks SDCrow. I was looking for a way to go that too. I might save a copy with auto update and one without.
