But on another note, if you need someone to pick up the torch I actively manage two numismatic database projects (Numismetrica and The Black Cabinet). I could always make room for a third. I have the technical know-how (PHP, MySQL, HTML5, Javascript, etc.) and the server space to work with, too.

Something like coppercoins.com needs to stay alive and updating. It would be a serious loss if it were just to languish, static and unchanged.
