Found a 1978 Double Queen's Back Cent the other night, in my '70's stack. It's there, but much less pronounced than it shows on the Coins+ Canada site. Are there degrees of this error? I'm using 10X magnifier and wonder if the doubling is just a reflection or if it's real.
I see 2 definite lines where in other "78's there is clearly just one.
Any opinions you may have on this topic would be appreciated. My camera's on the blink, unfortunately.

Hi Saint Ninian

I have seen this type of error before. I personally think there is more degrees of this type of error than what they post. It's a good reference point though (Coins and Canada)
Gives you a good Idea on what to look for.
I and I'm sure others would have liked to see your 1978.Sorry about your camera.

I also have a bunch of 78's set aside for this very reason. There is definite doubling of the queen's back on many of them. It's likely very real :)

That's fantastic errorrorre...Maybe you could post one of them for us if you have time...if it's not too much of a bother.

Thanks to all of you. I'm tentatively declaring that I WILL post a pic in the test area today, using my husband's cell phone. It sure is time-consuming to search for errors, but there's something that draws you into it, the ole' treasure hunt,I guess. If someone says, "They're out there," I just think--I have as good a chance as anyone of running one to ground. It's great fun! Thanks again.
