My partner and I have been very busy playing around with making the world silver coin calculators mobile friendly. They are now optimized for your iPhone, iPad, iPod, iSnack 2.0, Android Phone, Android Tablet, Blackberry or whatever other mobile device you happen to have. Of course they also work on a normal internet browser too. It's free to make use of this new interface and we'd love it if members would give it a test and post or email feedback where necessary. http://www.australian-threepence.co...rs/index.htmAny comments, problems or suggestions appreciated. That's a link to the regular scrap calculator and not the mobile optimized version.

I tried it on my iphone and it worked well. I've bookmarked it already. There's two minor things I would suggest. When I click in the spaces to put quantity the cursor doesn't always go to the left of the 0 therefore it has to be moved or I end up with 10 instead of 1. Maybe these fields could be left blank? But that really is a very minor thing. The other is that when I hold the iphone with the normal orientation some of the text on the far right is cut out and its not possible to zoom out or move across. When I rotate the phone horizontally it works fine and I can see everything.

Great widget guys, I like it.
Now don't take this the wrong way but:- Seems strange to be to be giving the value for Aussie coins in US dollars. Is it possible to change the displayed value currency to other than US.
Entering numbers into the fields can result in 0100, should remove leading zeros. (sorry, I'm a computer nerd so I notice that small insignificant stuff)
Finally value should be about $2.99+ on the app store. Your gonna make a mint. Loads a people will need this. Just add a tab for sterling silver and other grades by weight as well. Think garage sales etc.

Very cool! I think a silver calculator for different grades and weights would be a good idea. For example You could take a random coin, type in the weight and silver percentage and calculate the silver value! That would make it easy to buy/spend non standard silver coins at flea markets garage sales etc. Like if I wanted to spend a Canadian commemorative silver dollar(1971-present) or some other coin from a foreign country. But otherwise this is AWESOME!

There is a different site for calculating silver values based on random weights and fineness (not mobile friendly yet) http://www.silver-calculator.com/Thank you everyone for your great ideas and pointing out the problems. We're busy fiddling with it to make these improvements. There's a lot of code in the background and it takes time.....

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We've just done another release. Changes made include:
-You can now hide coins from the calculators and show hidden coins -Fixed the width problems on iPhone/iPod in portrait orientation -Changed the Previous Page button to a home button -Leading zeros are now removed -The text in a field is now selected by default (but still not working properly on iPhone / iPod) -Changed the format the calculator total row -Page heading is now wrapped to display fully
