i was just wonderign what the 1996 parkes $1 would be worth unc? as it seems everyone I find is in quite poor condition.

I dont have my catalo with me but even then I say its way overleiced in there. I would have a guess at $4-10 if you wanted a real nice one.

The Parkes $1 isn't really a good design I feel. Seems very plain and always looks worn.

They aren't easy to find in UNC from circulation coins; I've only found a couple from noodling that were still holding some lustre - and one was a B mintmark coin. The ebay ones are easy to find under $10, as enworb said, and that'd be for a mintmarked one. The plains from broken-up mint sets may go over $10 if there's a couple of interested bidders though plenty do come up - it's just a matter of being patient. Watch out, the dollars can suck you in...I started with just circulation coins found whilst noodling, now I'm chasing all NCLT's and mintmarks as well  That's why the Mint put out so many - some of us just have to get them all  They know what makes collectors tick
