Morgan, I see a Peace dollar. Am I the only one? I saw the thread title and thought, wow, a 1923 Morgan, now that would be a sight to see. |

It appears to have the luster of an MS coin but details on the eagle's head, shoulder, and the edge of the wing and leg look weak. Maybe it's just the focus but these areas look worn to me. If it does make the MS threshold the hits on the face and scruffiness in the fields should rule out any grade higher than maybe MS-63.
The 1923-S is a condition rarity, very expensive in true MS-65. This one isn't even close IMO. Based on these images I wouldn't consider paying anything over AU-58 money.

Yeah, sorry but this will not make an MS-65. I am thinking 62 tops. It is a nice coin though.

Those deep hits on the obverse are what are going to keep this gem from making that grade. That's too bad. She'll trade at MS63, IMHO.
