Missed my contests? The contest will start Monday 12/03/2007 00:00 (12:00AM) Istanbul time (GMT+2) Also EST:18:00-6:00 PM (still sunday), PST:15:00-3:00PM (still sunday), ACST:08:30 (am) Ends in a week, 19/03/2007 00:00 Istanbul time Anyone can participate. The winner is whoever gets all the questions answered correctly, or the one with most correct answers by the end of the contest. According to the participation I may consider of a kind of consolation prize. Send your answers via e-mail over the forum and reply to this topic to say you have sent an e-mail (in case your mail isn't delivered). The prize is a set of modern Turkish coins, a complete set of circulating and a couple of non-circulating coins. Check out this page: http://deli-isi.blogspot.com/There's a video at the top. Some famous figures of some countries are shown. You have to name all the countries mentioned there. That is originally a TV ad, I cropped the brand and the sound, don't expect any audio :) Edited by RenaL 03/11/2007 10:32 pm

hm, wasn't the brandenburg gate-like structure actually in turkey? or was the point that all the landmarks were accessible in Istanbul... I saw the gate, but also the Turkish style mosque and the Bosphorus Bridge in the background, so I figured there was one like it in Istanbul :)

Well, in the commercial, all you see is Istanbul, that should have tricked you. The motto of the new campaign is "you can call everywhere like you call your own city.
The kangaroos, London clock tower, and the Pisa Towe are also shown in Istanbul. So are the pyramids, but the background can be anywhere:)
As I have thought, everyone got pretty close. So I'll send a couple of our coins as consolation prize. yavaris and crzy3by if you can send me your snailmail addresses you will receive a little something for the efford. Steve, please let me know if you have changed your address.

haha I see. I identified all the other ones except the brandenburg gate straight off...then when I did find pics of the brandenburg gate, the surrounding buildings didn't match so I didn't put Germany :)...oops. I guess that's why you swiped the audio. anyways, thanks for the interesting contest :). Will send you an email..

That is at first I was not sure that order. For Australia, the building is too old for Aussie. Then I saw the mosque at the end after the UK and before Italy, and I almost add Malaysia on my answer, too. then I thought the building system was not right.
It is fun contest.
