I am getting quite confused, I have watched many documentaries about Alexander the greats campaign against Darius and I know that Alexander the great died in 323BC.
The Darius in question was surely Darius the first? Looking for his coins I see the dates don't seem to marry up and then I read things like;
"coin was introduced by Darius the Great of Persia some time between 522 BC and 486 BC and ended with Alexander the Great's invasion in 330 BC."
No man was alive 200 years...so I must be doing something wrong. What do I need to search on V-coins to find coins of the Darius which Alexander the great conquered? Were there even any produced?
The later types of sigloi are supposed to cover part of his reign at least. There's nothing with a name on it to clearly identify him, as for Alexander III.
