numismo Rest in Peace United States 3039 Posts	Posted 08/31/2012 12:09 pm I think the upper grades on modern coins are a joke. With modern minting techniques 66s & higher should be the norm. Years ago those lofty grades were very rare. Now they're common. The TPGs make a ton of money grading these modern coins so they keep doing it. I still think they're a joke. Just my 2c.
