The Pueblo Coin Show

I was in Pueblo, Colorado, for the last several days, covering the girls' state basketball tournament.

I happened to glance at the Pueblo Cheiftain newspaper, and was pleasantly surpised to find a coin show scheduled for Saturday at the Events Center -- the same area as the tournament.

This was only about the third coin show I have ever attended. There were only eight tables, but lots of very friendly coin dealers. One valuable piece of information I found was a listing of more coin shows around Colorado scheduled for later this summer. Coin shows seldom occur where we live, in western Colorado, however a couple are scheduled for April, including a large one in Grand Junction.

I did make a few purchases. My wife (MountainLady) also bought a few coins.

My purchases included a 1917 One Dollar banknote in very good condition. The Treasurer of the U.S. then was John Burke. I have been told I am related to him.
