OK just got back late last night, firtt chance to post. been running like crazy since I got back and finally had enough time to get though all the post I missed.
The show was very good. there were about 50 dealer there. the biggest show I have been to, I know that is not really that big of one but bigger then other I have been to. the show overall had alot of very nice coins. saw some coin I had not seen before in the grade tehy had.
For me the show was alittle bit desapointing. the reason I say that is that I don't have the money to buy really high grade simi and Key date coins and there were alot of these there. so for me most of the coin I like were way out of my price range. I am alot use to going to the show in boise where alot of dealer bring there middiam price coins. I didn't see alot of these. so I guess I got a little bit of sticker shock. plus I felt there were alot of dealer who were just way overpriced as well. I also felt most of the dealer were just there to buy and sell to other dealer I saw a lot of that going on. also there was not alot of foriegn coins there I would say there were only about 4 or 5 who had any foriegn coins. I know a few had theres back behind there tables.
But with all that said I did leave with 14 or 16 coins. I sent all of my money on saturday so I ended up not going back on sunday like I had planed in the beginging of my trip. I just spend Sunday walking around and going through all of the hotels and Casinos on the las Vegas strip, whick was alot of fun. I did gamble a little and lost all of that money too.

Ok so for what most of you want to see. what did I buy.
1st Australian Florin 1917M VG -(for Florin set)
2nd Australian Florin 1954 XF (Royal Visit Florin)- (for florin set)
3rd 1913-p Type 1 Buffalo nickel MS60 - (for type set)
4th 1875 Seated dime XF45 - (for type set)
5th 1922-P Peace dollar MS60 - (for type set)
6th 2007 Mexican Libertad Silver Dollar - (for foreign silver dollar set)
7th 2007 Chinese Panda Silver Dollar - (For Foreign Silver Dollar set)
the next ones are all part of my new Franklin half dollar set.
8th 1952 Franklin half dollar MS60
9th 1957 Franklin half dollar MS63 FBL
10th 1958-D Franklin half dollar MS60
11th 1962-D Franklin half dollar MS60
12th 1963 Franklin half Dollor MS60 FBL
13th 1963-D Franklin half dollar MS60

next ones I didn't get from the show
- Casino 1 dollar token (Fitzgearld)
- got in change 2007-D Lincoln Cent (first ones I have got)

So as you can see I deside to go buy some for my type set, silver dollar set, and to start my florin and Franklin half dollar sets. I deside not to work on my barbers dime set since most of the ones there were out of my price range and not alot in the 5-15 dollar range.
But I would say overall it was very fun and a very good show and learing experice for me. hopefully next year I can make it one of the ANA shows.

there will be picture in my image gallery of most of these hopefully by the weekend. My wife leave on thursday to NYC for the weekend So I should have time in the evenings after the kids go to sleep to get them done.

Danny, when we were in Las Vegas we beat the odds and won money. My wife put one quarter in a slot machine won five quarters and she quit.....so we beat the gambling odds..and they say you can't win in Las Vegas

One thing we did learn is never, never, never go to Las Vegas in July especially in an RV. We stayed at Circus Circus RV Park that RV lot is all paved and my truck thermometer said 130 degrees during the day WOW was it hot.

I am hoping to go to my first coin show next month. There are going to be a couple of shows in Georgia(I'm in Alabama) in April. I'm want to go to the biggest one, but it also happens to be the one that is farthest from home. Based on my experience with shows I have gone to for my other hobbies I think the extra driving will be worth it.
