Very interesting.
I collect square coins from around the World, have about 90 differnt types.
I do not have any of these.
Very little Belgian emergency money is seen in Australia.

For those who aren't quite clear on where these notgeld tokens come from: the city's usual name in English is Ghent.

Those cardboard pieces I have never seen before; quite interesting. :) Thanks for posting them. And while pretty much everybody here will be able to figure out what Gent is, hehe, the French inscription Gand is a little confusing indeed. The city is in Flanders, but I suppose that, about 100 years ago, the impact of the French language was stronger there ...

the coinage of territories "in transition" is a topic that I find fascinating.
Were these made in Belgium, or elsewhere ?

The "metallic" pieces were made by Geeraert in Gent; not sure about the 1920 cardboard issues. Here http://www.geoverbanck.be/munten.htm is an article in Dutch (and a quote from a letter in French) about Geo Verbanck and those emergency/occupation issues.

The cardboard issues were printed by publisher Vanderpoorten.
